It is with great excitement that we welcome you to “Voices” by our DBS staff and students. We are delighted to share the amazing things that happen here on the campus of DBS with you, our extended family. With over 600 staff members from all over the world, we truly embody the definition of diversity. Diversity in education fosters a rich learning environment by exposing students, staff, and parents to varied perspectives, cultures, and experiences. It enhances critical thinking, promotes empathy, and prepares learners for a globally interconnected world. Embracing diversity also helps reduce stereotypes and facilitates inclusivity, contributing to a more equitable and tolerant society.
The school’s Mission and Vision sets the tone for diversity across the campus. At DBS we offer a variety of educational programs, and we aim for authentic character development in hopes of creating global citizens. The best way to accomplish this goal is through having a diverse staff with shared goals. As I reflect on my experience here at DBS as an American, I have been exposed to so many different people from various walks of life. This has had an impact on how I view the world outside of America and how I interact with others. This experience alone has broadened my perspective of other cultures, enhanced my knowledge of varied traditions, and the best part – trying and loving new foods from different places around the world all because of the staff at DBS.
